I'm Bennett, a current graduate student in the Master of Design (MDes) program at UC Berkeley, with an emphasis on interaction design of emerging technologies. My specific interests lie in user experience and interaction design within digital and physical mediums.
Previously, I worked at Solar Turbines as an UX Design intern and held other engineering roles within the Mechanical and Aerosapce industry.
I studied Aerospace Engineering as my undergraduate major due to my curiosity about learning how things worked and my excitement for tinkering. During this time, I had the privilege of working on commercial drones, jet engines, and industrial turbines. I decided to transition into design because I craved the human-centered aspect of it - I didn’t want to just make things useful, but really understand who I was designing for and see the positive impact I was making.
Throughout my design journey, my technical background has allowed me to view design through a critical thinking lens, prototype faster, and embrace technology.
